1996 Doll Party - Ann Arbor, MI

One exhibitor carefully guarded the doll placed near
their booth, afraid that if the doll was removed by
someone it would bring them bad luck and poor sales.

In the Thursday, July 25 1996 Ann Arbor News, the
#1 "Wacky Things We Saw At The Art Fairs"
was "A couple plastic dolls decorating the trees
at Liberty and State streets, guarding the entrance
to Nickels Arcade and in a free-form tumble over
the traffic signal at State and William streets.

As of early October, 1996, at least 4 dolls
remain in place guarding the streets of
Ann Arbor.
